Cookies policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This page describes cookies and similar storage used by FairNest.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. Similar technologies (browser local storage) may also be used.

2. What we use

FairNest mainly uses:

  • Session / auth cookies (Auth.js) — required to sign in and secure access.
  • Locale preference — French or English.
  • Local diagnostic draft and UI preferences (e.g. collapsed banners) — for comfort on your device.
  • Dev clock tools (local/test environments only) — not for end users in production.

3. Purpose

These are needed for core service operation or local device experience.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or marketing trackers.

4. Duration

Session cookies expire on logout or per auth configuration. Local preferences remain until cleared in the browser.

5. Managing cookies

You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in and normal use.
